In the beginning of 2007 SNAP ran a
workshop with students from Cardinal Newman High school. The students
produced a painted backdrop based on the theme of their hopes and
dreams. Using digital imaging our Artist would then montage the students
into the backdrop, transforming them into footballers, Roman soldiers,
singers, artists, snakes, sportsmen and much more. The School was
then presented with a professionally mounted and framed A1 copy of
the finished artwork.
In November of 2007
SNAP repeated the success of the project with Cardinal Newman by producing
a new artwork with new students. The artwork was inspired by the cultural
diversity of the group. The students explored their own personal and
cultural identity.

January 2008 saw a third
Cardinal Newman group create a masterpiece at the SNAP studio. They
went exploring through time to see Luton under water and being inhabited
by sea kings and mermaids!

March brought Avenue
Centre for Education (A.C.E) to the studio where there was another
expedition to the depths of the sea, where a battle between the mermaids
and evil pirates for shipwrecks and buried treasure was raging, whilst
a battle of a different nature was forming on the shore.

The New Year saw a new
addition to the project. SNAP went on the road in the ‘SNAP Wagon’
Barnfield West Academy was the first stop. They were in the middle
of their very own Eco project where they were exploring the effects
on the environment and how to make their school greener. SNAP were
eager to get involved and helped a small group produce artwork to
promote awareness of their project.

SNAP was invited back
in March to help a new group of students produce an artwork to help
raise awareness of the physical, emotional and social effects of drug
and alcohol abuse.
